Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering for, or using AlfiMatch ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms and conditions, you must not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To use AlfiMatch, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• You are legally competent to enter into a contract and marry under the laws of Sri Lanka (or your current jurisdiction of residence).
• You have never been convicted of a felony or any criminal offense involving violence, sexual misconduct, or fraud.

3. Account Security and Verification

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. We require accurate information, including a valid National Identity Card (NIC) or Passport number, for profile verification. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect any information provided is false, misleading, or fraudulent.

4. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to use the Platform to:

• Harass, abuse, defame, or intimidate other users.
• Create multiple accounts or fake profiles.
• Request money, financial assistance, or engage in any form of scam or fraud.
• Promote commercial activities, business links, or external services.
• Upload inappropriate, explicit, or copyrighted images that do not belong to you.

5. Disclaimer Regarding Background Checks

ALFIMATCH DOES NOT CONDUCT FORMAL CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ITS USERS. While we verify phone numbers, emails, and require ID numbers, we cannot guarantee the true identity or intentions of any user. You are solely responsible for taking appropriate safety precautions when interacting with other users, both online and offline.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AlfiMatch and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Platform; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform, including without limitation, any defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of other users.

7. No Guarantee of Marriage

AlfiMatch is a platform designed to facilitate connections. We do not guarantee that your use of the service will result in a match, engagement, or marriage.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
